Is an 11V laptop battery compatibie with a 14.8V battery?

So I've got a bit of a weird question.

My mother's laptop(dell 1545) has a dead battery, doesn't hold any charge whatsoever. I'm looking for a replacement and would like to upgrade the battery too. However, all 9 cell batteries are 11.1V and the original battery is a 14.8V 4-cell one. The tricky thing is: dell only sells the 9 cell for the 1545. Can I safely buy a 9cell(on aliexpress of course, it's like 5 times cheaper!)?

9 cell batteries are 3S3P - 3*3.7 = 11.1V
4 cell batteries are likely 4S(1P) - 4*3.7 = 14.8V
There is also a 6 cell version which is 3S2P - also 11.1V

A quick Google shows that this laptop can use either 11.1V or 14.8V batteries so you should be fine with it.
