| arattig:
Need help troubleshooting my receiver which goes into protect mode. Found a blown channel due to speaker wires shorting together and have replaced all bad components as well as recapped the pre and output amplifiers. The amp will turn on if i remove the preamp board, but immediately goes into protect when reinstalled. I had a donor preamp board that i installed with the same result going into protect mode. There was a fuse F4000 that was also blown on the the video pc board (U17) that i replaced. I've measured every component on the preamp and output amp boards, did not find any bad component. So, either i've inadvertantly skipped over a component measurement on these boards, or another circuit is at fault when the preamp board is plugged into the output amp board...connects another circuit somewhere else that is causing the excessive current draw, U17 board? Spent a few weeks going over all the youtube videos and chats i can find, so finally posting here. Link to service manual here, file was too large to post: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1073303/Integra-Dtr-7-9.html |
