avometer 8 mk1 reads high

hi all,i have an old avometer 8 mk1,came to me with the movement o/c,i replaced it with a good one along with the swamp resistor bobbin but it reads about %20 high on dc volts ranges,havent tested others yet,all the shunts test good compaired to a working one,tried moving the magnetic shint but still reads high,any ideas?

The first step is to verify the 50 micro amp range preferably with another meter in series acting as a check meter.

i have done that,it checks out fine,ive also swaped the swamp resistor with a known good one,are the mk 1 and 2 the same electricaly?,if so i have a good mk2 that i can use to compair the shunts on the mk1 against.

i have found resistors 2,3,and 4 o/c on the lower resistance board,can these be replaced with normal metal film resistors and 10 turn trimpots?,if i cant sort it it will get turned into an esr meter,like mt old braddley.
