A product sold in the US under the name 'Simple green'. Takes care of dirt and grease. Followed by a rinse of some form of alcohol (but test plastic before applying on large surfaces). Switches / contacts need to be replaced. Once oxidized, these are fubar as the contact plating is gone like time.

I used deoxit gold on a 7950x processor and a video card and everything has been working fine for a long while

If there's corrosion on contacts, and if those contacts are exposed in such a way that you can access them so they won't stay wet, you can use vinegar to dissolve the corrosion.

Carefully.

I use a cotton swab to wet the dirty contacts with white vinegar and leave them wet for a while. Followed by clear-water swabs to remove the vinegar and corrosion, and then drying the contacts.

I wouldn't use this on contacts in a socket, for instance, where the vinegar wouldn't be able to be removed.
