Title: Best Replacement for MOSFET(Fuji 2SK3548-01SC)?
Post by: Trurl on January 03, 2020, 03:21:16 am
My failed Dell monitor(2407WFPb) psu
https://www.scribd.com/doc/207782153/Dell-2407-WFP-Power-Supply-Rev-A11-Schematic-Diagram (https://www.scribd.com/doc/207782153/Dell-2407-WFP-Power-Supply-Rev-A11-Schematic-Diagram)

has a TO-3P MOSFET(Fuji 2SK3548-01SC)
https://www.datasheetq.com/datasheet-download/139786/1/Fuji/2SK3548 (https://www.datasheetq.com/datasheet-download/139786/1/Fuji/2SK3548)
which needs an alternative replacement.

My initial choice:

ON Semi(Fairchild) FQA11N90_F109
https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/FQA11N90_F109-D.PDF (https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/FQA11N90_F109-D.PDF)

has 11A Drain Current(1A higher than the 10A of the Fuji), but I noticed that the Rds(On) is quite lower and Qg is quite higher as well.

So now I'm considering a 9A Drain Current version with Rds(On) and Qg much closer to the original.

I'm thinkin' that the 9A Drain Current spec is conservative as there are references to 11A in the Turn On Times and Gate Charges Test Conditions.

I think the 9A version would be an overall closer match to the original part than the 11A version. Which do you think would be the safer/better choice?

Thanks…
