I have a common problem with my Hi8 and MiniDV camcorders. The pinch roller comes loose because the plastic retaining/locking nut breaks.

I've tried using many different small tubes from ballpoint pens, as well as various PTFE tubes from AliExpress, but none of them have the exact diameter needed. I also heard that part of an aerosol spray nozzle might work as a replacement.

Does anyone have specific experience with this repair or know of a suitable material or part that can be used as a replacement locking nut for Sony camcorders?

Thanks!
