BK Precision 1762 power supply Voltage adjustments
« on: May 18, 2023, 04:44:35 pm »
I've got a BK Precision 1762 power supply.  If you've used one, the coarse adjust is way too coarse and the fine adjust is way too fine.  A multiturn coarse adjustment would have been nice...

I increased the resistor in parallel with the fine adjust pot R68 from 2.7k to 4.7k and it gives a little more range on the fine adjust, but starts being nonlinear at the upper end.  Going higher than 4.7k gets too non-linear.  I can't find schematics (i asked BK and done searches) or a tech manual.

It looks like the board mount control pots are 25k, so replacing them with a multi-turn isn't likely.

if the main pots are 25k,  its not a problem to find ones, sure theyll cost a bit, but youll get the control you need,   ive done the same thing on my kepco ate psu  1 pot for Volts  1pot for Current   no fine
