Blaupunkt BS723 bluetooth speaker
« on: December 24, 2024, 03:34:23 pm »
I am trying to fix this item, it works except I can't get it to pair. Searching online hasn't found a manual for it. I am wondering if the Bluetooth module is faulty as it works in analogue audio mode.

The module has two rows of castellated pins for a total of 24. It uses the CSR 57F68 chip together with a flash chip for storage. The main board has an amplifier chip, stereo mixer, power supplies and a microcontroller which seems to have no markings. I think the microcontroller is working correctly and sends commands to the Bluetooth module via SPI although I don't know the protocol used.

It's also possible that it's working correctly but I just don't know how to put it into pairing mode. The usual hold the button methods don't seem to work. I've checked the power rails and they look good.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Tim

It's super hard with the picture you provided. But the chip does not look aligned, at least from your picture and to me personally.
