Boonton 9200C & 91-12F probe help?
« on: July 05, 2024, 06:56:20 pm »
Bought the meter w/o a probe at Hamfest earlier this year and found a probe on QTH that might work but I can't find a 9200C manual, only a 9200B. I know the meter has to be matched to the probe but I'm going to try to see if I can set it up so I can get readings within 5% or so. So far, I have not had much luck since I don't know if the 9200B manual Preliminary Checkout or Set Up is valid for the 9300B. I checked the probe diodes in series and got 0.6045 VDC on my Fluke 189II so I assume the probe is probably OK. I also assume the meter has to be set for whatever that will make read if that's possible. With the  CPU and many options I'm at a loss. Any help with the manual or setup or how I might be able to get it working appreciated
Thanks
Hank

Hi

In my experience all Boonton meters are no more than low voltage dc meters with computer scaling.

I do have a PDF on Bootom probes but it is too large to post

Hey George
Can you email the Bonton probe PDF to kolesnik@sbcglobal.net?
Thanks
