Bosch BHN20L/04 vacuum red light issue
« on: September 22, 2024, 08:56:32 am »
I'm new here and I would like to bring the life back to this vacuum cleaner.
The problem: When it gets power the led showing red and after 10 seconds it goes out. Manual says it's the 5S battery pack thermal sensor signal. I've measured the thyristor and it's 10k Ohm and on heat the resistance is dropping. Probably it's OK.
When the PCB attached to power the motor is not turning on, but directly from the battery it works. Motor seems OK.
I did a couple of measurements, but I'm not sure what I see.

More details: Mp/Mg=motor positive/motor ground Bp/Bg=battery positive/battery ground Cg=charger ground

Voltages
BP-BG 18.7V
MP-MG 0V

BG-MP 18.7V
CG-MP 18.7V

BG-MG 3.43V

Continuity
BP-MP yes
BG-CG yes
BG-MG no

When I got the device and turned on there was this stucked red light issue. That's why I take apart, but one time while testing unfortunately connected the battery wrong direction and a couple of parts got burnt. Those parts I've replaced(Schottky diode, 1 resistor) So the original problem it still present.

If you need more image or infos I will provide. Thank you for your help!
