BP190 Battery for fluke 196

Can you recommend a good battery for this meter ?
Got 2 from epay and only lasted 3 months
A replacement with 2 16850 will work ? for how much time.

Did you contact the seller?  Some sellers offer up to a 1 year warranty.  At least mine does.

I wouldn't recommend using Li-Ion batteries unless you are prepared to build a new charging circuit. The unit requires NiMH type batteries only.
You can also rebuild your pack.

I do not know if it is related to your case but there is a service bulletin for 196 in which a defect is treated for frequent battery discharge. It looks like a transistor enters s.c.  It's a disease with batteries at this scope.

Do you have any more information on this, as my Fluke 196 goes flat if not left plugged in, which is annoying....

hi everyone, i have a problem with my fluke 196c.
Since yesterday it no longer lights up.
pushing the power button you will hear a beep and the screen will remain black.
I unplugged the battery and it does the same.
19.5vdc comes out of the power supply.
help me.
