Hi all, has anyone repaired the SMP supply in one of these, I believe they are a known problem, and difficult to get service info on. I have replaced several, but not all caps in the secondary, but even they tested ok for ESR once removed from the board. I would just replace the supply, but I cant seem to locate them as a spare anywhere. Looks like it will have to be a component level repair. The output voltages I believe are pretty standard, being 12 volt dual rails for the output amps, a lower dual rail for the pre amp supply, but not sure what this should be, and a 5 volt supply, which then returns to the board for the start up signal. So, I guess, if things do get difficult repairing to component level, and time is slipping by, I could probably cook up a patch in supply, but it would be larger, and may have to be external, but would be at least reliable. Unless someone has seen one of these Chinese made things, it is becoming a money loser for me, just a service to the customer if I do get it running. There are many SM components on the rear of the board, which do clock up the hours very quickly. Any ideas would be great. Cheers. Geoff
