DE5000 cant mesure anything
« on: November 25, 2017, 03:12:32 pm »
After probing one cap that should be empty, but supposedly had some charge, my DE5000 showed ERROR on the display and then shut itself off. After turning it on it cant measure nothing any more. Display just jumps from CP/CS, RP/ESR and shows no results. Cant also calibrate, when probes are short it shows FAILED. My oscilloscope shows it outputs decent sine way on all 5 frequencies.

Cant see nothing is fried on PCB. Any suggestion is welcome.

Repaired it.

tiny R33, 100 ohms marked as 01A was measuring 300k + ohms.

Capacitor that caused the defect was 10uf, 250V. At the time of measurent must to had about 100V.
