Canon MG3600 repair
« on: November 12, 2021, 07:56:34 am »
I have this consumer grade printer-scanner thing. Once every 3 or 4 prints, the printer loads the paper and immediately spits it out in error; otherwise, it prints just fine.
I suspect that there's paper sensor of some sort near the printing head which is failing (either the sensor itself, or the ribbon connection etc) and tells the printer that the paper was not loaded correctly.
The thing is a pain in the back to open and I still haven't figured out how to reach the print head assembly.
Does anybody have a service manual, or any tip.
Thank you all

Not exactly your Canon printer model but maybe this article can help.

I also found the service manual for you, unfortunately it is in Japanese language...

Thanks @picburner
The first article I knew already, and it helped me some time ago to fix another common problem of this model.
There is also an iFixit article which shows how to disassemble the thing, upto a certain point.
I'll look at the pictures of the japanese manual  ;D maybe I can guess something useful.
