Price & source of the axial capacitor
« on: November 30, 2019, 04:02:57 am »
During the repair of old equipment, I encountered an issue of sourcing axial capacitor, Digi-key has limited availability, RS has better choice but expensive.  :palm:

Using radial capacitor may be a solution but required gluing it and extending the lead.

Anybody know where I can find a good source of axial capacitors ?

Did you try mouser and taydaelectronics.com? Amazon? Aliexpress? Not much demand for axial components these days.

I was trying to find a good source myself in another thread.   Digikey, Mouser, and Newark still seem to be the best bets for axial electrolytics with the biggest selection that I've found and used.  For any axial electrolytic caps above 450V,  I've used Antique Electronic Supply or Justradios.com before as well.
