CEM Clamp Meter High power consumption

Hello!

I recently bought what appeared to be an unbeatable deal, https://www.ebay.com/itm/185384482305.

It worked fine but the low battery light came on after a few minutes of use, I checked the power consumption and



strangely that problem only happens sometimes when changing modes on the meter, and sometimes it does not happen. The only way for the current consumption to go back to normal is to turn it off and back on again and hope that the high current consumption does not come back.






Any help or clues would be appreciated.
