Component Identification
« on: August 27, 2023, 03:29:19 am »
Hello,

Could someone please help specifically identify these components?
I believe they are resistors, but I am unsure of the exact specs.

Thanks!

(Pictures are of the same components, just taken from different angles.)

01C = 10kΩ  (E96 coding system)
330 = 33 ohms  (normal resistor system)
Greek letter 'Psi' (not Pounds per Square Inch)

Any of proper geometrical size will work. You can chose 1% tolerance just to be sure if it's a circuit where precision may be important. Size is 0603 or larger as smaller sizes do not have marking, however we have no way to tell exact size from the photos. So you need to measure dimensions or compare the size with some known part.

Also it looks like circuit have some liquid damage, however I'm more concerned about corrosion of vias rather than about these resistors.

I've measured them with a small tape measure, length appears to be 1mm, width 0.5mm.
That seems to equate to 0402 size.

The board in the pictures isn't what I'm fixing.
I'm fixing another of the same board that accidentally got a few surface components knocked off.

Any brands better than others?  (I ask cause when I buy capacitors, I limit the search to specific brands only with high reputations.)

Thanks.
