Could DeoxIT be used to clean PCB sockets and connectors?
« on: June 22, 2019, 10:33:15 am »
DeoxIT is great on pots and contacts, but could it be used to clean PCBs, sockets, and connectors also?  Or would it be better to stick with iso alcohol for PCBs?   :-//

DeoxIT is meant to clean electrical contacts. And yes, IPA is the right cleaner for PCBs.

DeoxIT is an expensive product, would be unwise to use it in applications like PCB cleaning.

Why would you even consider using a far more expensive cleaner, not specified for the application, that has additives that may attract dust and other contamination when spread all over a PCB?
