Craftsman 82357 DMM repair

My old faithful Craftsman 82357 DMM is acting up on the Ohms ranges. I would like to try to fix it. I have done some searching, without luck. Does anyone know of any schematics or other info (OEM data, perhaps?) that might be available?

open carefully the meter take some photos and try to check the main ic   if its not under a black blob



some software for it ??
