Title: Creative Nomad Jukebox doesn't turn on

so i decided to sell my my portable cd player boombox the other day as i hardly listen to cds anymore

then as im looking online i see a person selling a like new Creative Nomad Jukebox 10gb for $10 $4 for shipping
they say its working 100% fine they have 1995 good feedback no bad feedback so i beveled them when they said its working

but when i put 4x AA in it and press the play button on hold it down the device will not turn on even if i plug the power cable in i did try pushing the reset button with no luck and the hold switch is not on

is there any other things i can try before i email the seller?

Nothing that is easy.  I have some things that have not been used in a while and the contact surfaces corrode under the tactile rubber and snap metal switches.  Cleaning them brings the units back to life.
