Hameg 1004-3 minor problems
« on: December 22, 2019, 11:04:56 pm »
Hello Hameg friends,

I've got my self a used Hameg 1004-3 a while ago.
And I'm starting to to have some trouble with it.

First of all the bootlogo/menu is really dark and It semms like there is no way of saving the intensity. This is really strange cause It saves the intensity of channel A/B and the readout automatically but not the intensity of the menu/startup. I have to adjust the intensity everytime I leave the menu and come back.
I assume that this is not normal... Does anyone have a clue where this could come from?

My other problem is that the cursor is not working anymore and some rotarys are missing steps or go randomly for the other direction.
Is there a replacement kit for the switches/rotarys?

I appreciate any hint/advice!!!
Thanks in advance!!!
living without a multimeter is possible but not worth it
