Hi! I'm a long time lurker first time poster who wants some advice on analogue circuit design, but I thought it's only fair to contribute something first :)
Here's my video showing a practical and (most importantly) cheap approach to recovering data from an eMMC chip without desoldering it, in this case while it's attached to a crappy laptop. The same approach could be used for smartphones and tablets I suspect, if you can find boardview files for them.

There's no new ideas here at all really, the basic approach comes from the "Hacking Hardware with a $10 SD Card Reader" talk by exploitee.rs at Blackhat 2017 and it's something data recovery companies often do but charge a lot of money for.
I'll post my questions in another topic :)

Great video - Not sure, what the best part, the technical stuff or the great musical part in the end... :-DD :-+
Definitely something, I'll keep in my mind, if never needed.
