« on: April 19, 2022, 06:13:42 am »
I have a dead pm 3262 scope, seems theres no eht,so far i saw an arc on the underside of the eht unit,i dremmeled out the burnt potting from the arc area and resealed it,when i first got the scope,on pwer on the red power led would come on for about a second then go out,if i cycled the power strait after it wouldnt come on but would if left for a few mins, now after resealing the eht unit i get a solid power led and the screen illumination works, also i notice the neon in the focus unit illuminates ,any ideas what to check?,i can only measure 3kv with my test gear, tia Paul.

I would start by checking all the other power supply voltages. Perhaps one of them died when the HV shorted.
