That is normal behavior when the CFL goes out. The Display has 2 CFLs. if one is bad it will turn on for a second and then go off. I have a garage full of 22 and 23 inch Dell LCD's with that problem. Too much work to replace the CFL. The CFL replacements are expensive. :( |

Replacing the CCFL tubes is not really that hard on many monitors. You can get LED kits now to retrofit them, they come with a strip(s) of LEDs and a driver board. |
