Denon AVR X4400R
« on: November 06, 2023, 02:51:26 pm »
Hello
I have a DEnon AVR X-4400R and due to a short circuit on the terminal.
I have a scratching noise in the channel, the distortion factor is very high.
I have all the datasheets from Denon.
The question to you.
Could this be the preamplifier or should I suspect the fault in the de-amplifier?
Stupid me I dropped this Baby while we where moving. |O |O

What terminal is short with which other?

'scratching noise' on only one channel? or all channels? Also on the headphone output? Also on the tape record outputs or similar?

What is the physical damage after the dropping?
When it fits stop using the hammer

Thanks for answering I did not test the Headphone output.
The Damage is not so bad, it is only the right Speaker Terminal Front to the right I will test the Headphone output and inform right here. |O

Before powering up again:
If you think that broken speaker terminal has a short to something else, make sure to remove that short first. A short might damage the output transistors. It is possible that there is some form of short protection but that is likely not a perfect thing so don't count on it to save the output, certainly not in the longer term.

I just tested the Headphone Output
I think it's OK I will Test it with a sinus Generator and my Ozzy
No Shortcut on the Speaker Terminal anymore.
Thank you for helping I have basic experience in Electronic
I know everything about it, but I can't read the circuit properly.
I'm not in a hurry I still have my Onkyo Baby SR 600E.

That was a pretty well hint. I connected my sinus Wave Generator on the Input Chanel The Right Channel is Ok the Left channel has the noise can't even see the Sinus on my Rigol Ozzy.
