The power switch in my DS1102 gave it up the other day. It will latch in and out, but the power stays on. Anyone know what part I can replace it with?

Is it really too hard to post a photo?

I've no idea if that scope power switch is controlling mains voltage so you tell me. But have you tested to ensure it's the switch. e.g. switched it on, then disconnect from the mains or switch off at the mains, then reapply power.  Have you seen if the switch can be cleaned?

Where is the pic.

Sorry I took so long to reply-- a ton of shit happened all at once, and I just now found the time to open up my scope.

The switch is on mains; it's a nice clunkin' power switch as Dave would say. It looked like it'd be easy to open up and adjust the contacts. Turns out that the actuator broke :-\ I superglued it for now, until I can get a new switch in.

The contacts are open when the actuator is out, so I'm not sure if that's NO or NC? The head where the cap fits is 3mm^2 by 8mm long. It's kind of hard to see the markings, but I think the model number is PS5? It's rated for 8A/250V

Anyone have any ideas?
