Ok ... I would replace it by a new M48Z08 of STMicroelectronics ... is it good choice?

Joseph, the ST my not be the same, you can get a genuine Dallas from DigiKey, newest versions have a first use battery saver feature.

IF bought from other sources beware date code and Chinese illegal copies or pulls.

Should cost about EU 20.

If buying from china, don't believe date code. Most likely will be old re-marked junk with fake date code.

In Belgium it's Farnell the most easy

I find this  : https://be.farnell.com/fr-BE/maxim-integrated-products/ds1225y-150/memoire-nvram-cmos-64k/dp/2518661?st=DS1225

Is it good?
