DSO5034A options?
« on: September 20, 2020, 11:04:46 pm »
I've recently finished repairing Agilent DSO5034A.  Are there any options I can enable on this unit?  Everything I see so far is for MSO variety of this series, not the lowly DSO.

No MSO option on the 5000, h/w not present... for the options, check in the test equipment forum, look after DSO6000 hack or something similar, the thread is running for ages...

Yes, I am aware of both of the points you've raised.

I said DSO because both versions exists per Agilent.  I wanted to make a distinction that my scope is a DSO version not the MSO version.  I'm not trying to convert one to the other.

I am also aware of the thread for MSO6000.  What I don't know is if any of them are applicable to DSO and 5000 series.

Yeah, all of the software unlocks (memory, triggers, decodes, segmented memory, etc.) work on the DSO5000. I used it on mine before I sold it to upgrade to the MSO. That thread is for all of the 5000/6000/7000 series - they're all very similar hardware and the 5k/6k run exactly the same firmware, so just follow the info from the thread.
