Dunkermotoren brushless dc geared motor
« on: January 20, 2018, 09:45:37 am »
I got this beautiful motor for an experiment, from a friend. Not new, perhaps, but in excellent condition apparently.
Dunker website gives me a user manual, but not any repair instructions. Connected as specified to a proper dc supply, it does not work.
Another, bigger, dc motor of the same construction (BG65X75SI) works exactly as it should.
The trouble is: there is no way to take out the built-in pwm drive to see what, and no drawing or detail is forthcoming. You can open enough to see the tailored circuit board inside, but no more.
Oh yes, the terminal block is my way of connecting to the plug-in socket on the motor.
Grateful for any user experience.

Are you sure the wires in those green pluggable terminal blocks are making good contact? Those terminals aren't designed to be used with bare wires like that. If you can, find some ordinary terminal blocks, the type with two rows of screws, and try that.

May seem strange to you, but the wire ends are actually soldered to the contact tongues in the terminal block (reassembled after soldering). At the motor end, I have used fitting females crimped and soldered. There can be no question of poor connections. My issue is how to take out the drive circuitry.from within the motor housing. Taking off the end shield, you can just see a circular board with all external connections soldered to pads around the periphery. Impossible to desolder from in situ. I was hoping someone has found a way.
Thank you, though.
