I am fixing an electrical kitchen stove for the first time.
I notice that almost everything from the cam selector switches https://www.buyspares.com/oven-function-selector-switch-ego-4205000019/product.pl?pid=1234023
to the thermostats used in ovens refers to the term/name? E.G.O and EGO in their datasheets or sales material.

What does it mean? Is it a brand i.e. this one https://www.egoproducts.com/en/company/about-ego
Or is it a type or group of components that are collectively referred to as EGO?
Maybe a standard?

How are you confused? You found the company website, and clicking around definitely shows they make controls for appliances.

(What is clear, by their lack of product listings and datasheets, is that they want to deal with appliance manufacturers directly.)
