Thanks for the reply guys.
You guys are right, the major IC(s) seem to be 3.3v, one is an EP9132 HDMI 1.3 Splitter and the other is a EPF011A Generic MCU with 64K Embedded Flash if I looked these up correct and both run at 3.3v.
I have done a visual inspection and a basic check of the small components which all seem fine but yes its possible it also fried one of the major IC(s) but that's a bit beyond my knowledge to test.
Still cant find anything with the same markings as the blown SMD which makes me paranoid but without more info I may have to risk just trying a replacement with a 3.3v regulator and hoping for the best.
Do SMD regulators always have the same pin layout (first pin ground, second Vout, third Vin) or are they like the bigger counterparts where the pins can have different layouts?
Included a few more images of the whole board and IC(s) which I should have included in the first post, sorry about the image of the EP9132 IC I couldn't get a clearer picture of it as its very faded.
