EPSON DX5 blown fuse (not firing/printing)
« on: September 29, 2020, 11:10:22 am »
Hi! I'm new to this forum and was wondering if there's someone here who is familiar with large format printers.
I have a printer that prints blank/ no ink is firing. I attached a photo of the Carriage Board.
Already replace 2 fuse encircled in red. But the head is not firing.
Hoping to hear from you awesome guys!  8)

hi,
well, the fuse dies AFTER the semiconductor
search the current path starting from your replaced fuses, it will lead to some voltage regulator or to some power transistor
help us to help you

Hi, thank you for your reply. Already checked the transistors and it is working fine. Any advise on what to do next? I'm a newbie with this sorry  :-[

i hope its not a gimmick like samsung printers,  they deliberately blow the fuser fuse  pretending that the maximum printable stuff is done

could be a firmware issue  like a  protection  ... made to buy parts ...
