Title: Excelvan Capacitor Meter M6013 Repair
Post by: electrofix on July 17, 2023, 02:03:04 pm
Hello and thank you for reading my post.  I am starting the repair of an Excelvan Capacitor Meter M6013.  The issue is that it works from the plug-in microusb but does not work from the batteries.  It was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped working from the batteries.  I plugged in the microusb cable and it works fine.  Also, if I unplug the microusb cable with the batteries (brand new batteries, fully tested) it turns right off.  I am going to open it up and see if the wires going from the batteries to the board have been broken.  I will be posting pictures of the progress.

I noticed the battery box wires are soldered with red wire as negative and black wire as positive going into the board. |O  But it still gives Positive 3V going into the board as pictured.

I am guessing to start testing "Q6" on the board?  Does anyone know what it is and how to test it?
