Extech EX655 - Resistance metering failure
« on: November 22, 2023, 11:23:42 am »
Hello, I've purchased back in 2016 an Extech EX655 true rms AC/DC Clamp Meter which worked always fine.

However for a few months, the resistance measurement has partial failure where it keeps oscillating (0.L and high MegOhm). If I remove the 9V battery then reconnect, it might work the first time but then will go nuts.

All other functions (ampmeter, voltmeter, frequency, NCV...) still work fine.

I see on our forum that few recalls were done for these EX serie of DMM but not clear if my failure is related.

Any advices or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Albert
