Title: Fan for UPS
Post by: Lord of nothing on November 26, 2015, 12:08:50 am
The Fan got louder over the Time. Normally for other Stuff I take Pc Fans but on this Time not a god idea.....

Original Fan: http://www.nmbtc.com/fans/part-numbers/DC-Axial-Fans/3110KL-04W-B50-G00/3869 (http://www.nmbtc.com/fans/part-numbers/DC-Axial-Fans/3110KL-04W-B50-G00/3869)

Can someone recommend an Silent Fan?
The Major Problem is a 2Pin Connector and the cable must be short <10cm and there are a lot of Hot and 230V Parts around.

THX!

... They come in a variety of speeds, blade configurations, and sizes, with 'power' ranging from 'butterly fart' to 'tornado'.

It's a fan. Go pick one you can source and fit it.

When replacing a fan always make sure airflow and static pressure are at least similar on the replacement fan. There are huge differences but a higher quality fan can be quieter while providing the same airflow (and pressure).

:palm: the new fan must have the same flow rate or more.

Other idea someone Print me an Adapter out or help me get some of that: http://www.com-tra.de/shop/de_de/produkt/lID_is_4167_and_Fan-Adapter_40-60mm_transparent_exzentrisch.html (http://www.com-tra.de/shop/de_de/produkt/lID_is_4167_and_Fan-Adapter_40-60mm_transparent_exzentrisch.html)

Noctua fans are reasonably cheap and come in various loudness and flow ratings.  Or any two or three pin PC fan with double ball-bearings will probably be ok if it claims to be quiet and high airflow, because you are already paying a premium for the bearings.  Get it from any PC parts place, should be less then 15 euros including postage from your country or next door one.  Cut the leads 3 cm from the fan and splice on your existing leads (in case they are heat resistant) with heat shrink over the splice.  Just use the relevant two leads if it is a 3 pin fan and insulate the remnant of the yellow one.

I think CoolerMaster Blade Master 80 may be close to your needs: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/blade-master-80/ (http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/blade-master-80/)

Amazon link : http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Blade-80-Computer/dp/B0030DSECK (http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Blade-80-Computer/dp/B0030DSECK)  and Newegg link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103071 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103071)

but since you're from Austria, you'd probably be better if you find it at some European store , or try amazon.de / amazon.co.uk
