Fender Champion 100 guitar amp (component identification etc)
« on: October 09, 2019, 09:06:45 pm »
Just borrowed a Fender Champion 100 guitar amp which worked at his house as he was showing me the best settings.  On arrival at my house I plugged it in and there was an almighty crack and a flash and it took out the electrics.

I've restored everything and now looking at the amp.  The bridge rectifier is blown which is a GBU806 and I've ordered a few to collect tomorrow morning from CPC.  After that there are two components which have basically vaporised these are the capacitors C358 & C356.  C357 & C359 appear to have survived.

As yet I've not managed to find a service manual.

Anybody have a schematic for it or know where I can get one?

I've found that the power module is the same across several models....

C356-C359 are SMD caps

They are shown as

C357
.015
630V

What value is that?  I can't find that value or voltage rating.  Am I reading it all wrong?

PDF of schematic for the board is attached and the components are in the top left of page 2.

From the schematic the unlabelled caps appear to be in uF so .015uF or 15nF fits.
