Finding SMD Component
« on: July 27, 2021, 10:09:46 am »
Hey,

Short story:

I've been passed over an MSI B450I to carry out a board repair on after someone knocked off some components, I am having real issues locating one of the packages on the board!

I'm fairly its power related due to it's location on the board and there are multiples of them but any help is really appreciated.

This is the component I am trying to trace:

The code is:

S0

T2Z939

As it's power related (I think) I can likely source one that isn't completely mangled, this seems the best option as I can't even locate a donor board at the moment!

Thanks in advance hoping to solve this issue.

So where is it on the mobo? Is it some gate driver chip for the buck converters for CPU voltages ?

This reminds me I have 1-2 old mobo's, 1 is somehow broken for sure. But I guess I can't investigate them much without a processor, or other things things to plug into it.
