Title: Flatflex repair

Hi all.

My first post here  :)

I have been trying to repair a DaB radio as time permits, and I have had an accident with it, where it slipped, which resulted in the flatflex cable for the cd drive was ripped over, is there a good way to repair it, that is gonna last ?
Have been thinking about replacing it with some thin coated copper wire, so that the flexibility is preserved as mutch as possible.
