Flex PCB connector for HP laptop - looking for a tip

I managed to break a part of the flex PCB connector for the keyboard on my HP laptop.

The connector is on the motherboard, ~1 mm pitch, ~30 pins, vertical, SMD.

It consists of two parts: a white plastic body with gold contacts (which is OK) and a hinged brown plastic bar that presses the flex PCB onto the contacts. This is the part that broke.

Can someone point me towards which manufacturer it is? White/brown is new to me.

I'm hoping to get a new connector and just replace the brown bar.

Insert and place a thin piece of card where the retaining latch has broken off then kapton  tape on top

Then reinstall the keyboard and get back to scrolling

Going with the make-a-repair theme, using adhesion... Instead of tape, go with a temporary glue... Hot glue might be tempting, but where there is heat, there is failure. Try Shoe Goo. It has good adhesion and is tough stuff. It will come off, but you have to work at it, a bit... It has "just-right" qualities.

If you don't keep it in the refrigerator after opening it, it will spoil quickly. But, kept cold, it will last for many months.
