good morning everyone thanks for the opportunity to write in your forums.
I read as a spectator and I noticed your passion for electronics.
ask help to repair a fluke 123.
the defect that presents is that after switching on the instrument keyboard keys are inhibited.
I wondered if it was because I changed the battery as its has been replaced with a non-original?
I enclose a circuit original battery that can be of help.
if I leave in fluke without battery for some time you restore the function keyboard
I apologize in advance deposit for my english ... thanks expect an answer
what do you think....?
I'd like to help

salve... :)
qualcuno sa dirmi come posso intervenire
ancora grazie
Hello... :)
I included a picture of the battery changed
I try to write again to be clear ....
hypothesis that I think:
the battery is no fluke as if becomes exhausted some capacitor
In fact, everything works by inserting the battery for a period
after some time the keyboard is inhibited
I leave no fluke battery for some time a day or two and starts to work for a few hours
someone can tell me what I can do ^
thank you again

The Fluke 105B I have repaired once had trouble with the memory. It behaved irraticly with no calibration, weird characters onscreen, missing channels, keys not working etc. There where settings in the menu to reset all kind of memory settings, programs and whatever. After this and a reboot all have been working OK.

Is your fluke working on power adapter?
Lot of this meters had problem with Lead Free soldering usually on keyboard connector.
In this case is enough to re-solder this connector using some Lead Solder.
But in this case symptoms are that only part of keyboard not working.
