Fluke 12E+ and 114 parts
« on: March 09, 2023, 12:30:27 pm »
Hey all,

I was invited to take a look in my neighbours shed after he'd passed to see if there was anything I could use. Found a couple Fluke DMMs with problems.
The 12E+ back door which retains a pair of AA batteries is missing the battery shorting contacts, I assume the batteries leaked and contacts got corroded past the point of return.. Tempted to spot weld a short piece of tabbing direct to AAs, just to get it going again.
The 114 is missing its kickstand which is part of the battery door, otherwise works perfectly.

Any ideas where I can procure such specific Fluke parts, or is the 12E+ consigned to e-waste? I would prefer the former of course.

Thanks in advance.
Andy

All those parts are available to be bought in China via Taobao.

Both the battery terminals as kickstands. From screens to full plastic shells.

Ahh China market. Explains why they don't really appear (especially the 12E+) under my searches.

Thanks for the pointer.
