My 177 show 0.7mv and my 179 shows 1.1mv. Try measure some mains and close the meter and open again.I don't know if this is normal other fluke dmm experts may know more here.

Put in some test leads and short them- value should go down.

Other test: Move the multimeter to a different location and check if value changes- might pick up some radiation from nearby devices.

Edit: My U1272A tells me about 12mV in ACV mode, and about 60mV in ACmV mode with open connectors, so it is not unnormal to get some results. I can try to look later at my 179 at work how that behaves in this regard.

It isn't unusual for a high impedance meter to read stray voltages. After all it only need a couple nanoamperes of leakage or induced current to generate 100 mV in a nominally 50 Meg meter.

That being said it isn't common either for them to read in the hundreds of mV without anything attached. Usually it's caused by the floating test leads acting as an antenna.

Could just be a ton of noise from LEDs used to take the photo.

You could clean the PCB and input jacks if it's still acting up when you get it.
