fluke 187 leads alert
« on: February 08, 2021, 01:29:04 pm »
hi members,
my fluke 187 gives  LEADS alert on all selector switch positions.  It started off in intermittent fashion and responded to terminal cleaning but fault is now permanent. after placing the pc board only for 24 hrs under a heat source, slight "improvement"  in that mA and uA switch positions give no alert. a healthy meter of course gives alert on these positions only!
is this a known fault condition?
is the circuit diagram of the fluke 187 available anywhere?

Likely socket still dirty or fuse if you have replaced it. You should be able to pull a fuse and test it from the back of the socket isolated. I had one that took considerable effort to clean.
