Title: Fluke 189 problems
Post by: rivest on November 15, 2022, 07:38:02 pm
There are 2 major problems I'm having with my Fluke 189:

1. The mode selector switch is off by one. ie the 1st stop is VAC but goes to mVAC, 2nd stop is mVAC but goes to VDC, and so on. The sequence becomes ok after Temp. (the current and logging stuff)
I've tried opening and cleaning the contacts with alcohol but it didn't help.
2. The readings are all messed in all modes.

Is there something I check or do real quick before I send it off to a repair store?

Has it been zapped by an high voltage spike ?

Have you physically checked the dial contacts   you have 4 of them if i recall

And you have to sync the dial hexagonal hole with the function ??
