Fluke 6500 Calibration procedure?

(1/1)

gamerpaddy:
Fluke is hiding its secrets when it comes to calibrating a 6500 appliance tester.
theres probably still many  thousands out there that have to be Cal'd every 12 months for a lot of money.
This is obviously something they wont share with anyone outside the yellow circle.

does anyone know the deep dark secrets of this mystery? like a hidden key combination to access a  secret menu, rs232 commands to enter this mode etc etc. ? there are no pots on the inside.

Those devices are popping up everywhere on ebay the last few years as their displays are failing.
its a 50$ part, easily replaced but of course fluke wants you to buy the new 6500-2 by telling people it costs millions to repair by a certified® fluke Sensei with golden hands.

I know, a uncertified self cal causes problems when making a insurance claim that something blew up that tested fine with a device like this.
they are there to ensure electrical safety in the first place. but the heck its just a fancy multimeter that measures the basics with like 3 digits of resolution, any 20$ aneng can do better.
