fluke 87V Eepr error
charlyd:
Hello today i worked on a little in between project, i have this fluke 87V on the bench which got the known Eepr err.
the board rev. is 009 and i am looking for a good working eeprom export. can somebody support me with that.
i fixed a fluke 87V EX after clearing the board for hours(especially under the display area took me long)
but this unit has a board 010 rev. the newer version.
i could try an export from the eeprom from that unit but because it is a different board the component plan is a little different. component values are different so the export from a 87V EX will not be in calibration i guess. and maybe even to far of and so not usable.
who can help me out and export his content from the 87V. and share so i can flash mine and you have a backup for your unit. i am even willing to pay $$$ for it.
if you are willi g to help me i can support you with more info.
btw. also a broken unit which still gives display is ok.
or if you have a broken Fluke 87V for sale please let me know. i still need some housing parts too.

I'd give the 87V EX dump a try, whatever you find you're more than likely to need a readjustment anyway, the calibration constants are factory written for each meter.
You could try with 88V dump also if you find one, the only difference is the RMS conversion, rest of hardware should be identical.
Ugur:
This device has a lifetime warranty. Unless there is user error. This error is not a user error. In this case, the authorized service in your region should help.

thanks for the feedback but i have to look for a good dump then and you says the cal. contants are facto....
but aren t they overwritten during the flash?
and as for the lifetime warranty, i gues the unit may not be opened, i assume. i have searched for the warrenty but i found 1 year and not lifetime at the fluke side.
Ugur:
It is stated on the first page of the user manual. I am sure that this device has a lifetime warranty.
