Fluke 8860A DMM - ROM help!
« on: January 24, 2018, 02:45:04 pm »
I have a Fluke 8860A that is locked up on start.  I dumped out the ROM and it appears that bit 0 and bit 1 are stuck.  Is there anyone out there with
an 8860A that would be willing to dump their ROM contents and post the binary?   It is a 4Kx8 chip that is socketed on the vertical control board on the
right side of the unit.  Very easy to get to.  Thanks.

Hello wn1fju
You you still need these ROM images? I can open my 'new' 8860A on next rainy day to make a copy.
best

Thanks for the offer.  I eventually gave up on the 8860A and stripped it down for parts.

Resurrecting the thread.
I would be interested in the rom dump for the u9 chip on the A3 control board. I have a 8860A which also seems to suffer from bit-rot.
So if you still able to make a dump, that would be really great.
