I have a Fluke 89 IV with the knob removed from the switch. The little while plastic mount for the knob was broken and, since it's pulled out, I don't know how to align the switch and knob. (The meter doesn't work now but eventually I would be able to figure it out...)
It appears that I can find a small screw and use that to secure the two white plastic parts that form the "stem" from the knob. Then I should be able to push the knob + stem back into the switch and everything should be fine. At least, that's my plan so far. Any suggestions here are welcome, but the big reason why I opened this topic is: does anybody know the proper orientation of the knob and switch? I do not know how the switch would be positioned when the knob is turned to "OFF", for example.
