HP 6282A front meter bezel replacement

I rescued a 6282A power supply from the dumpster the other day.  It appears to work but the meter is missing the bezel that secures it to the face of the instrument, part no 4040-0294 or 4040-0297 (listed in the SM as "Meter bezel 1/4 mod").  I'd like to find or print a replacement but my searches for the part or a cad file have come up empty.  Has anyone figured out a good way to mount the meter in this situation without defacing the front panel?

See here for a bezel for a HP 6255A.  According to the service manual on page 46 it's a 4040-0295. Close enough?  Maybe you can modify it.
Also, see here for a bezel for HP 6274B.  According to the service manual on page 67 it's a 4040-0293. So close!  This looks like the better match.

The 4040-0293 looks close indeed!  I'll give it a try later and report back.
