| Tomcoli:
Hi Zeb If not too much trouble can you send me the patch cord database for the the dsp-pci? If you still have it. Thanks Tom |

I have two broken Fluke DSP4300SR remote units. Unfortunately, I don't know their earlier history. I opened the devices, but can't find any damaged components on the PCB. I replaced the internal CR2450 battery because it was dead, I uploaded the latest firmware via LinkWare (the same version as in the main unit), I gave new NiMh batteries (Cameron Sino), but they still don't work. When turned on, all LEDs light up. LinkWare shows internal error 208: Boot 1.925 11/06/06 16:01:03 000000 008000 Cal 1.921 11/29/04 16:01:05 008800 01b200 Sdb 5.17 11/06/06 16:01:04 024800 00be00 MainSR1.925 11/06/06 16:01:08 030800 043f00 **** FAIL **** serial num=0XXXXXXX hw lev=10 cal date=010610 Analog rev=100 Digit rev=100 Keybd rev=100 Internal Errors: 208 02/11/00 09:15:19 I'm starting to suspect that the AT29LV040A-20TC microcontroller or Samsung K6X4008T1F-GF70 RAM may be damaged. The parts are no longer produced, but they can still be obtained, but the problem would be to get a memory dump from working unit. Has anyone encountered such an error, or has access to a service manual to check what this error means? |

The original battery is Sanyo CR2450, but Sanyo was purchased by Panasonic, so you can use Panasonic CR2450 or other good quality CR2450 battery. |

Hi, I recently got a DSP-4000 from my school for free, because it was broken and they were moving into a new building. It has the same issue described erlier wit the rolling bars on the screen and is not beeing recognized by the LinkWare software. The remote unit actually behaves the same as the main unit in my case, with it not turning on and it not beeing recognized by the PC. How hard would it be, to flash new roms for both units with the rom images, and what specific chips do you need for the two units? Is it even worth it to repair the analyzer, or would it be smarter to just sell the analyzer and the accesories as is? |
